In my previous life, I was living in London as one of the regular professional dancers on a little TV show called “Strictly Come Dancing”... which was watched by more then ten million people in the UK.
My weekends used to consist of training a celebrity to dance, choreographing for an upcoming show, and collaborating with talented costume designers on my next glamorous and oh-so-sparkly dress….and let’s not forget the occasional spray tan that ballroom dancers are so “famous” for.

London was also where I met the love of my life – my husband who is a former Latin Ballroom world champion and an extraordinary teacher of Latin American dancing. Before long, I had upped and moved across the globe with my husband and our then 8-month-old baby boy. Just 4 months ago we welcomed our second child here in Hong Kong.
After taking almost four years off to concentrate on mommyhood - which in all honest truth is by far the hardest job I have ever had - I felt an urge to to jump back into the professional world. In fact I had always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom for as along as I could remember, but after having my second baby I started itching to do something creative and get out of the house!

Fortuitously I came across an amazing opportunity to work with a start-up e-commerce fashion brand called Tove & Libra, who was seeking a Marketing director. Before retiring from the dance world and TV, my professional dance partner and I had produced and starred in our own stage show which toured across the UK for three years, performing over two hundred shows. I was managing everything from casting dancers, to organizing photo shoots and collaborating with sponsors. This behind-the-scenes experience actually made my crossover to fashion marketing very organic.
My fashion style before I became a mom was very different - I could go from wearing yoga gear and baseball caps in the day to glamorous gowns and jewels in the evening. It was an all-or-nothing type of mindset, but after having two kids I soon realized that I was missing middle-ground clothes from my wardrobe. It was getting difficult for me to pick an outfit to take me through a day of dropping my kid at school, going to work, and then having that little cheeky cocktail with your friend before rushing home for dinner and bedtime.

As a new mom, I am still trying to find my style and struggling to feel good about my new body. That’s where I see Tove & Libra come into play - a brand that is making real clothes for real women without compromising style, fit or practicality. I am very excited for working women and mommies everywhere to try our clothes and see for themselves.
My sparkles and rhinestones will always have a special place in my heart… But getting dressed in the morning shouldn’t be stressful and time-consuming. We are so busy these days that any extra time we have should be spent with our loved ones, making memories.
